WSIEA will once again offer a youth strand featuring events, great speakers, workshops, and interactive activities geared toward Native youth.

Clock Hours and CEUs will once again be offered for all participants. Forms and additional information will be available on-site near the registration area.
Vendors are always welcome at the annual conference. We welcome for-profit and non-profit vendors. All registered vendors are asked to donate an item for the WSIEA door prize drawing or silent auction.
NORTHERN QUEST VENDING POLICY: You must be Native American to sell or have a vendor table at any public event at the casino.
Please call or email before sending your money or money order. It is not a guarantee you will get a spot. You will find additional information on the registration form found in this packet. Space will be reserved on a first come-first reserved basis. Register early due to limited space so you will not miss out. This year we will be unable to offer online registration/payment through the WSIEA website.
PLEASE NOTE: Exhibitor fees do not include any conference activities or meals.
Exhibitor fees are as follows:
• For-profit: $200 for all three days
• Non-profit: $150 for all three days

The Washington State Indian Education Association (WSIEA) Board invites presenters to share their experience and knowledge with educators, students, and administrators at our 40th Annual WSIEA Conference being held April 1-3, 2025, at the Northern Quest Casino.
Presentations should be positive, motivating, and informative. We wish to increase the conference participant’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to Indian education, Native youth empowerment, community involvement, and Indian self-determination. Please indicate if your workshop proposals could fit into one of the following tracks- Early Education/Preschool, K-12 education, or Higher Education.
Our tentative plan at this time is to hold concurrent workshop sessions (90 minutes each) Wednesday (PM) and Thursday (AM and PM). Please complete an outline of your presentation using the google form. For additional information or clarification please contact our board members coordinating our workshops.

The Washington State Indian Education Association (WSIEA) takes an opportunity each year during our annual conference to acknowledge accomplishments of Native individuals who have contributed significantly to the education of Native people and of excellent Native Students. These awards include:
WSIEA honors one high school senior and one higher education student who will receive a monetary merit award ($800 for high school seniors and $1,000 for current college students). Award recipients will be announced at the WSIEA Awards Banquet taking place April 3, at the 38th Annual WSIEA Conference. Nominations only need to be made for the Indian Educator of the Year, Elder of the Year, and Outstanding Indian Parent of the Year. Applications/ nominations must be postmarked on or before February 16, 2025.
We are excited to offer the Culture Room again this year. The purpose of this room is to provide a hands-on experience for educators to participate in culturally relevant activities within Native American culture. Local Native Americans will be invited to be a part of this interactive culture room and may include: beading, carving, cedar work, sewing regalia, drum making, jewelry making, painting, basket making, and other activities.

WSIEA will be holding a drawing for donated items during the conference to support our recognition and scholarship awards. Please consider donating an item for our drawing and bring it to the conference registration table before noon on August 10th.
